today was a sweet day of playing in the states there was off road dirt track racking
in Chula Vista today and we were able to go so a few of us headed out this morning
to watch four wheel trucks with 800 horse power motors race around the track we saw
some cool jumps wrecks and we even saw two drunk guys and their girlfriends get in
to a fist fight so was kind of crazy, but any ways it was a very fun and relaxing
day, I do have to confess that I envied a little well most of the day, but we did
make it out not buying any trucks or any thing, so it was a very good day, but tomorrow
back to work hopefully all the cars get fixed one of these days, on the other side
of things can you guys keep Alicia up in your prayers one of her friends, from school
just lost her mother, in the middle of the night while she was sleeping, just keep
the family and Alicia covered with prayer thank you all

        Ok
so today was a very interesting day, Mexico is still considered a third world country
and I learned that first hand today, it was not much different from any other day
I needed to go and get some mirrors for two of our trucks at the junk yard about ten
minutes from the dorms now as you would expect the junk yards are a little different
down here there are no safety codes so there are fork lifts driving cars around and
dropping them where ever there is room so you kind of have to be paying attention
and they are not clean by any standards no oil is drained out of the cars, the only
safety thing that I saw the entire time I was there is that they punch a hole in the
gas tank so the fumes can escape, so like I said it is a little different by not having
all the laws that we do. So I was walking around the junk yard looking for mirrors
when I guy came up to me and asked me what I was looking for, he spoke pretty decent
English and did not look like he was born in Mexico and talking to him he said that
about 40 years ago he was in Washington picking apples and now his daughter lives
there so he is hoping to go back soon, so any ways he helped me remove the mirrors
off of a van and while he was helping me that is when it happened, now I had noticed
trailers laying all over the junk yard but it was a junk yard so I didn’t really pay
any attention to them until Ruben the man that I was talking to said that one of the
mirrors was kind of broken and would get me another one from his trailer and pointed
to one of the trailers in the junk yard, now I don’t know if stays there full time
but the way some of the trailers looked I would not be suppressed to find out that
half the workers of the junk yard actually say in the junk yard in peoples junk trailers
so that really made me think of how fortune we really are

I really haven’t been keeping you up to date on our disciplines this week is a good
one I done know if you all will be able to do all of it but I would definitely challenge
you to try as much of it as you can, so the harder part for you is that we cant spend
any money this week, and we have one pair of work cloths and one pair of relaxing
cloths for the whole week, but the part that would be a good challenge is to fill
a five gallon bucket and take your shower with just that it can be worm but just one
five gallon bucket since a lot of the world dose not have running water any ways you
all have a great week and keep the prayers up I love you all

        Ok
so two days ago we went on our hike and bike it was a fund raiser to raise money for
Micah who a previous staff member that will be going to school for long term missions
shortly so we walked a little over 12 miles and then biked back, I was very tired
the day of and then when I woke up the next morning I could not move that day we helped
a family in San Diego move they work for a church and another missions organization
down here so that was pretty difficult moving all day long but we made it threw it
is now two days latter and I can walk with out it looking like I am in pain but pretty
much all of my muscles from my lower back down still hurt pretty bad but it is nice
to get to sleep long nights in my own bed again, we do have a group coming in tonight
which pretty much kicks off summer we will have people pretty much in the dorms constantly
until the middle of August that that is going to get hectic and crazy but I have plenty
of work on cars to do we have ten builds on Saturday so I am going out and building
and hoping that all of the cars run the entire day so that is a little scary especially
not having the parts needed to fix some of them, but the lord will take car of all
of that well any ways that is a great prayer request for this weekend thank you all
